Pacific Rim Research Libraries Alliance

The Pacific Rim Research Libraries Alliance (PRRLA) is a member-based organization focusing on cooperative projects and initiatives among university research libraries located around the Pacific Rim. The goal is to create improved global discoverability and visibility of selected digital resources from the member library distinctive collections with strong research and teaching value as well as continue adding digital collection metadata to the Pacific Rim Library (PRL) repository project to improve visibility of collections.  

The strength of PRRLA, with its 41 members, are the projects to expand access to digital collection content, with a focus on distinctive collections, and make it discoverable to the global scholarly community.  Karl Lo award projects include the digitization of and metadata creation for selected distinctive collections, platforms for sharing professional expertise and professional and specialist development programs for staff in member libraries.
