The University of Auckland, the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and the University of California, San Diego have collaborated to create a single point of access for researchers seeking information about the cultures and history of Oceania (Australasia, Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia).
US$50,000 was awarded (with unanimous endorsement of membership) on 17 October 2007 to the libraries of the University of Auckland, the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and the University of California, San Diego to collaboratively create the Oceania Digital Library (OdiL). Hong Kong University has joined the project and will be hosting ODiL data.
